I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster in August 2015.
I genuinely love what I do! I love meeting new people, learning about what makes you YOU and working with you to find the best plan to reach your health and wellness goals.
My style of treatment involves an orthopedic assessment, an individualized treatment (with an array of treatment modalities) and a few home care exercises and/or stretches to do after the treatment.
I am trained in Graston Technique and have found major improvements in patients who have tried it!
Outside of work I love the outdoors - camping, hiking, fishing, exploring, you name it!! Being closer to nature is one of the main reasons that brought me to Kamloops 4 years ago. I am also a Mom to a sweet, energetic little boy and loving every crazy second of it!
Wendy has been an RMT since 1993 and has a background as an equestrian, cyclist, hiker and paddler. She has a BA in geography with some kinesiology and archaeology thrown in that influences her RMT work. As an RMT, she has devoted post-graduate studies to cranial osteopathy and cranio-sacral, neuromuscular and myofascial release manual techniques, strength training and stretching techniques, body-mind-movement therapies including t’ai chi and qi gong and culturally- and trauma-informed practice. She has a diverse practice but deeply enjoys the challenges of work with severe, acute and complex pain, post-surgical recovery and women’s health — for which some of the osteopathic techniques she uses are invaluable.
When Wendy is not working she may be found playing in the outdoors, or playing with clay (or both)! She has also designed and built her own deep green home and worked in energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability.
